Top Ten Dog Friendly Restaurants and Cafes in Budapest

Budapest we think is a dog friendly city, last but not least for its dog friendly restaurants, the big parks, and the dog friendly hotels in Budapest.

Dog Friendly Restaurants by the City Park of Budapest

Kertem Bar and Cafe

Kertem Bistro Budapest Varosliget

Kertem Bistro Budapest Varosliget

Kertem is an outdoor cafe right in the City Park, ideally located for a good dog walk in Budapest. As it is completely an open cafe, it is open only during the fair weather season (spring, summer, autumn, from about April to October). Its winter counterpart is Teli Kertem in Kazinczy street, which is alas not at the City Park.

The food, service, value and atmosphere of the Kertem Cafe is well reviewed by locals, and not much known by tourists. It is a good place to meet local dog friends and dog owners, who can give you further tips during your dog-firendly Budapest stay. Kertem in the City Park (Varosliget) is an ideal place for stopping by to have a refreshing lemonade, beer or wine and to eat some hot or cold snacks, grilled vegetables, etc.

The design is quirky, youthful, relaxed and simple.

A welcoming place for dogs and dog owners alike, you will feel at home and eat / drink well with your four legged friend. Seating is available both inside and outside, and as Nagymezo Street often feels like a pedestrian only people watching scene, you may like to sit out in good weather. The portions are not huge, but neither is the bill. Its meals are reviewed well.
