If you have ever tried Hungarian pastries, you will know how delicious they can be – provided you have picked a cake, which suits your tastes (e.g. the famous Dobos cake, a Hungarian classic is sometimes found too dry, so if you like moist pastries, go for strudels, or Flodni (Rachel’s Flodni at Cafe Noe s something to die for).
Now, this video is more of a demonstration for tourists rather than a proper video recipe. The onlookers of the strudel show are most likely gastro tourists, or foodies, or just want to see something special in Budapest. At any rate, it is fun to see how the dough of strudel is stretched on a big table, until it is flimsy. Our grannies did the same way. 🙂
